Something's Up Spiritually With Donald Trump's Presidency

I have written before here and here about my experience of coming from the new age and the psychics I used to follow who described Trump as a ‘lightworker’ who is coming to help humanity ‘ascend’ into a new earth of love and light.

When I learnt that the ‘spirit guides’ these psychics were receiving their information from were actually demons, I wondered to myself. Why were they doing this? Why were they promoting one man as a human saviour to make the world a better place?

After the assassination attempts on Trump’s life, and the narrative that God had saved him, I kept wondering? Why were so many Christians seeing Trump as a force for ‘God’s plan’ when apparently demons were also promoting him?

I should make it clear that this is not a political post. Some of you already know that I am not American. I am British, living in Italy. I’m not an expert in the politics, the country or what it’s like living under democrats or republicans.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6.12

This post is about what’s occurring spiritually.

One of the main psychics I listened to back in 2020 was British, and her intelligent, intuitive, and kind manner was part of what led me to look at Trump in a different light. Her following was made up of people from all over the world, so it wasn’t as if we could all vote for the man. Yet many people like myself, changed our minds about Trump in 2020. She wasn’t the only one.

There was another British new ager I followed who’d had encounters with ‘aliens.’ (who I’ve since realised her demons see this article here). He claimed to be receiving ‘intel’ from all sorts of ‘pro-Trump’ people in the US military and secret agents. Yet he also had a large following not made up of predominantly Americans.

‘Qanon’ is another story. I never followed the ‘Q-drops’ but the psychic said she was receiving information from the spirit realm that was similar to the Q info.

There has been a huge campaign to promote Trump as a saviour, through the new age, and through Qanon. While Qanon is widely viewed as just a conspiracy theory, the question remains, what is the force behind it and why?

While many Christians are celebrating Donald Trump’s presidency as a return to common sense, I think that we must all; pray for discernment, and ask questions about the spiritual phenomenon that is occuring around it.

Much has been said about the ‘golden age’ that Trump’s re-election is heralding. Yet the ‘golden age’ is an occult term, that was written about in the works of occultists such as Alice Bailey, and Aleistair Crowley. This golden age is widely viewed as being synonymous with the ‘age of aquarius;’ a time of spiritual awakening and collective enlightenment. Bailey wrote often of how 2025 would be a significant year. In Crowley’s work it was considered as a time when everyone would follow their own individual will, making it completely antithetical to the Christian viewpoint of following the will of God.

Then there is the use of the term MAGA, which while used as an abbreviation for ‘make America great again,’ also happens to be a Latin word for a female magician. While that could just be coincidence, Elon Musk’s announcement that he was ‘dark Gothic maga,’ along with his Twitter profile dressed as Baphomet (the symbol used by the modern day church of Satan). Musk’s work in AI, which he describes as ‘’summoning the demon,’’ needs a separate post really.

Paula White has been appointed as head of a new White House faith office. White has said that ‘’saying no to Donald Trump would be saying no to God.’’ She has a lot of questionable theology including calling people ‘little gods.’ (which sounds like something out of the new age).

So while many Christians may celebrate a return to ‘Christian values,’ we must ask ourselves, is this really Christian or the occult in disguise?

I have been aware for a while that the new age has been entering Christian churches, through ‘Christian’ breathing practises, through music with lyrics with bad theology, and all manner of different false theology like the prosperity gospel.

But what I didn’t realise is how this all seems to be leading to a convergence of the spiritual and the political.

The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is the branch of Christianity that includes many of these false teachings, such as the prosperity Gospel. In the New Apostolic Reformation, people believe in something called the ‘Seven Mountain Mandate,’ the idea that for Jesus to return Christians need to take dominion over seven spheres of society (including government, education, and religion). The NAR actually has many similarities to the occult which I’ve been learning about through Laura Srocki’s YT channel Magical Mystery Church which looks at the teachings of new agers, and compares them with the NAR. It’s an amazing channel, so detailed and informative, and beautifully put together, and I highly recommend subscribing!

What concerns me deeply about Donald Trump’s presidency is this strange convergence of the occult and the Christian, that isn’t really Christian, but the new age under a different guise. And, that many Christians, even beyond the US are being swept up in a narrative that Christians must regain control, they must take dominion.

The most alarming aspect of this is the concept of the ‘sacred purge’ which occurs in the writing’s of new agers including Alice Bailey and Barbara Marx Hubbard. It has also been talked about in the ‘Latter Rain Movement’ - an earlier version of the NAR. Followers in the Latter Rain Movement,’ believed there would come a time that Christians would be doing ‘God’s work’ in purging the earth of those who were deemed ungodly. In the new age it is about the earth being ‘cleansed’ of those who do not want to evolve spiritually.

A few years back shortly after becoming a Christian I received a text message from a new age friend of mine. She told me her belief that people became Christians because they had a ‘block’ in their soul evolution due to trauma, and therefore couldn’t evolve anymore.

In the writings of new agers like Barbara Marx Hubbard, (see book excerpt here) it is these people who are eventually ‘removed’ from the earth, because they cannot evolve and ascend with humanity. The ‘love and light’ of the new age, is truly darkness.

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14

All this to say, when we see the convergence of the spiritual, and the political, we really must test the spirits.

There is so much more that could be said about this, there is so much more to learn about the spiritual and the political. So much discernment is needed. I am also aware that our focus must also not dwell too long on the darkness, but stay fixed on Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4.8
