Dear Lorie Ladd,
It's not Jesus, it's a demon.
I’ve been there, I’ve been deceived, so this is not meant as a judgment, but as prayer that God would open the eyes of all those who are speaking to another ‘Jesus.’
In 2020 one of the new age psychics I was following was a woman named Lorie Ladd. Lorie’s videos gave me hope that despite the darkness of lockdown we were ‘ascending.’ Humanity was shifting to a higher vibration, and all the difficulties were just a necessary purging of the darkness, so that we could shift into this new age, of love and light, peace and harmony on earth.
I was so excited by this positive and uplifting message, but the inconsistencies in the stories between different psychics made me wonder; where does the truth lie?
Meanwhile the Bible was calling to me. It was a book that talked about ‘end times;’ that seemed to have prophesied the turbulent world we live in, and it a contained a promise, that the meek will inherit the earth (Matthew 5), and the evil rulers will be no more. That sounded good to me!
It was probably a year that I spent, exploring it all, weighing it all up. I bought a Bible, and started at Genesis but I couldn’t really understand it all, and it made me fall asleep so it stayed barely touched on my bedside table. I bought a book called The Gospel of Love and Peace by the Essenes, which I didn’t get round to reading. I bought A Course in Miracles (which I couldn’t understand either, and put aside). I bought a book called The Genesis 6 Conspiracy - about the hybrid race that was created when ‘the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose.’ - Genesis 6:2. That was a gigantic book, and I started reading it, and then thought to myself; maybe I should read the actual Bible before reading a book about the Bible.
Round about that time, I realised I could buy an easier to read version of the Bible (I had the King James), so I bought the New Living Translation, started with the book of Matthew, and never looked back. God’s Holy Spirit began showing me the truth; that the Bible really is ‘God-breathed’ - (2 Timothy 3:16).
I never did read the Genesis 6 Conspiracy (although it could be a good book for all I know!) I realised the Gospel of Love and Peace was a false gospel, despite its alluring title. I realised A Course in Miracles was also new age deception. I watched many ‘new age to Jesus’ testimonies online, and I began to see just how extensive the lies of the new age are.
So, back to Lorie Ladd. Maybe a year or so ago I began hearing that Lorie Ladd was talking about God, and Jesus. I was so excited, because when someone with a big platform leaves the new age, it means they can use that platform to tell people about Jesus! I began following her again on facebook, and slowly, post, after post, I began to realise something; it wasn’t Jesus. Lorie was still talking about new age concepts such as ‘the God particle’ and ‘evolution.’ She was writing an entire book that were apparently Jesus’s words to her, but a lot of what she was talking about contradicted what Jesus is recorded as saying in the Bible.
At first I thought I would give her the benefit of the doubt; after all I was confused for over a year about where the truth lay, and was hearing about all sorts of new age versions of the Jesus story. But with Lorie, sadly, as time goes on there’s no indication that she has got to know the real Jesus. Who knows, maybe she did for a moment, and then the seed that was planted was snatched away by the evil one.
When I was in the new age, I wasn’t actually aware of how many new age teachers do talk about God, and Jesus and believe they have a relationship with him. The popular new age book A Course in Miracles was written by Helen Shuchmann, who rejected ‘religion’ but then got involved in new age practises such as meditation. She began to hear a voice which she later identified as ‘Jesus’ and wrote the entire book through channelling.
A Course in Miracles talks about Christian ‘themes’ such as love, and forgiveness, but it is deeply anti-christ in nature, as it says that sin doesn’t exist, and it is useless to cling to the cross.
New age author Barbara Marx Hubbard wrote a book that ‘reinterprets’ the New Testament. She also rejected the notion of sin, and believed that we all can be ‘gods,’ who tap into our superhuman spiritual potential. She was given a platform to speak at some Christian churches in the 1990’s, and even referred to herself as a Christian on a mission.
Lorie Ladd, Helen Shucmann, and Barbara Marx Hubbard, all reject the fundamentals of the Christian faith, preferring Satan’s lie from the garden Eden ‘you shall be as gods.’ They avoid, reject, or ‘reinterpret’ the Bible. They believe the new age idea that we can all be like Jesus, and become ‘gods’ through the evolution of our consciousness. (Satan’s lie).
But why, if their message is ultimately antichrist do they even talk about Jesus? Why not just reject the notion entirely? Why not just gather ideas from Buddhism and Hinduism, and all the other available spiritual ideas that make up the smorgasbord of the new age? Why single out Jesus?
On the one hand, they need to repackage him, just as so many other religions do. Hinduism sees Jesus as an ‘avatar,’ to Muslim’s he’s a prophet, in the Bahai’ faith, he’s a ‘divine messenger,’ to Buddhists, he’s an enlightened teacher. Perhaps because there’s so much evidence that Jesus really existed, that other religions seek another story that ties into their position and denies his divinity.
But, I think, it’s more than that. One thing I noticed from the comments on Lorie Ladd’s YouTube videos, is that some of the commentators were using new age language, and others seemed to come more from a Christian perspective. It seemed like there were some Christians, who genuinely thought she was talking about the real Jesus.
The testimony of Johanna Michaelson, is an important one as she grew up as a Christian and then became involved in ‘psychic surgery.’ She thought that Jesus was helping her to do the surgery, until some Christian friends warned her of the dangers of what she was doing. She prayed, and asked this spirit to reveal who he really was, and he shapeshifted into a demon. Schumann and Marx Hubbard both engaged in ‘automatic writing,’ which also opens up a portal to receive messages from demons. These fallen angels, want to masquerade as a different Jesus, they want to share their different Gospel, in channelled texts, that try to reinterpret the Bible and bring ‘new revelation.’
Ultimately, I think it’s to do with the end times, and the one world religion that is talked about in Revelation 13.8, ‘And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, (the beast) whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (NKJV). Satan is the ‘father of lies,’ and so he is using these new age teachers to deceive people into believing they have a relationship with Jesus, when they are actually speaking to demons.
No amount of rational reasoning can get through to people when they believe that the Jesus of the Bible is religious programming, rather than what it actually is; a true account of who Jesus is and what he said. I understand the temptation to seek a different Jesus, as I’ve been there, reluctant or disbelieving that the Jesus of the Bible could actually be the real deal.
But all I can say is if you’ve got this far, and aren’t sure about the Jesus you are speaking to, then ask the REAL Jesus to show you the truth, and reveal himself to you, and he will guide you. To anyone who genuinely wants to believe the truth, and is willing to let go of any lies, no matter how tempting they sound, Jesus will always answer and show you ‘the way the truth and the life.’ John 14.6
‘Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free,’ - John 8.32
If you have a moment, please pray for Lorie, and pray for her followers that they will get to know the real Jesus. When I was in the new age I followed another new age channeller; Nina Starsong, who shared Bible verses. Those Bible verses spoke to me, even though a lot of the other information she shared wasn’t true, I do believe they were seeds that were planted in me, as we know that God’s word does not return void. (Isaiah 55.1).

Such an important message Kate, thank you for sharing as always! Are you going to do a post or add in your bio about your book?
The indwelling Holy Spirit is becoming even more important as we are forced to discern the Delusion. The Lord will show us through it all.
